Art Of Motion 2019

Red Bull Art Of Motion was back this year after a two-year hiatus, bringing a wonderful showcase of movement to the ancient walls of Matera, Italy.

In the men’s finals, Didi Alaoui of Tempest walked away with 428 points, taking both 1st place and Best Trick awards. Ed Scott stormed away in 2nd with 421 points after a breathtaking performance and Dimitris Kyrsanidis in 3rd with 413.

I worked so hard for this. I’ve sacrificed so much, I wanted this so bad. This is for my family, for Morocco, for my team, for everyone here.

In the women’s finals, Sydney Olsen, another Tempest athlete took 1st place with a whopping 353 points, followed by Aleksandra Shevchenko with 320, and Silke Sollfrank of Ashigaru with the happiest run and 313 for 3rd.

I would like to see more women taking up freerunning and competing. To help this sport, we need more women involved. I see a lot of girls trying it, but then not going on. I would love to be a source of inspiration for other women.
